At UnikaTops, Tobias Demetz transforms South Tyrolean wood into bespoke objects, such as bowls, clocks and vases. The natural grain of the wood is just as much a part of the design process as the artist’s skillful hand.
Each piece of wood has a story to tell. It may come from a felled tree or a demolished building. The grain, structure and marks of time all influence the design process. The challenge was to create a brand that respects this craftsmanship and holds space for the stories that each object carries.
The brand is built around stories—telling the life of a piece of wood before it became an object. These stories are shared alongside the pieces, connecting buyers not only to the craftsmanship, but also to the meaning behind each piece. The identity is intentionally minimalist, allowing the objects and their stories to take centre stage. The Sfizia typeface adds subtle personality without distraction. A muted colour scheme and simple layout keep the beauty of each artwork in focus. The result is a brand that feels poetic and deeply human.
