Hotel Post Gries is a family-run guesthouse in the Gries district of Bolzano. Originally used as accommodation for stagecoaches, it has been welcoming hotel guests since 1937. Over the years, the hotel has become renowned for its hospitality and traditional charm.

Challenge

The aim was not a complete rebranding, but a brand refresh. The hotel already had a clear identity, but its logo looked outdated, and there was no consistent typography or colour scheme. The challenge was to simplify and strengthen the identity while retaining its character, and to create a visual system that would appeal to a newer generation of guests.

Solution

I redesigned the logo, created a tagline, and introduced an elegant, serene colour palette inspired by Bolzano’s history. A consistent typography system now structures menus, brochures, signage, and more, ensuring visual consistency while connecting the old with the new. The style pays homage to the hotel’s past while conveying modern hospitality that is both inviting and sophisticated.
